FDNY Benefit for Larry Sullivan

Dear Friends,

The attached flyer contains info regarding a Benefit for my ailing brother Larry Sullivan. Larry has been sick for a couple of years now. For well over a year, he has been undergoing some very intense treatments at Sloan-Kettering Memorial Hospital in Manhattan. He is still receiving chemotherapy and underwent a month long regimen of radiation last fall. All of this has taken quite a toll on Larry and his family. Despite days and nights of sometimes excruciating pain, Larry continues his valiant battle with cancer. While out long term sick, he remains an active Firefighter with his beloved FDNY. The men at Rescue Company-5 have given him constant support through this, the most challenging time of Larry's life. Their loyalty and assistance have provided Larry with so much, as they repeatedly bring him back and forth to the hospital. They have been available to him all hours of the day and night, always ready to help in any way they can. Larry's wife of 32 years Ginny and their 5 children Larry, Rob (MTS Pct. Impact), Erin, James and Kathleen are the most important part of his life. They are the ones who have given him the hope and determination he possesses. Although he has been weakened in this fight, we all know that he is still as tough as ever.

Please if you can, come out and support Larry and his family. The special night will be Tuesday July 10th at The Staaten catering hall, 697 Forest Avenue in Staten Island. Seeing old friends & acquaintances will give Larry a real boost and a brief respite on the tough road to recovery that lies ahead.

Donations can be mailed to: FDNY Rescue Company 5, 1850 Clove Road, Staten Island NY 10304. Make check payable to: Rescue 5 Commissary.

Sincerely,

Tom Sullivan, Webmaster
