2010 Irishman-of-the-Year Peter King
January, 2010

President Richard Wall has chosen Long Island Representative Peter King as the NYPD Emerald Society's Irishman-of-the-Year. Mr. King will be feted as our guest of honor, during the Annual Dinner Dance Friday evening, February 26th, at Leonard's of Great Neck. A life-long New Yorker King is an alumnus of St. Francis College Brooklyn and has a law degree from the University of Notre Dame. Since his 1993 arrival in Washington DC, Mr. King has dedicated himself to such important issues as the Irish peace process and homeland security. He has earned a reputation as a hardworking and well informed member of the NY delegation. He is often noted for his outspoken frankness, as well as his staunch conservative philosophy. His late father, retired NYPD Lt. Peter King was the commanding officer of the Physical Education Unit. President Wall expects a large turnout of Mr. King's many friends and supporters for the gala evening.
