For a great day of fun the NYPD Emerald Society will be celebrating St. Patrick on Sunday, March 7th in Staten Island. After the 12:30 Parade along the Island's Forest Avenue, the Emeralds will gather at the St. Peter RC Church hall at 53 St. Mark's Place. This family friendly event includes music by The Moonshiners Band, Bagpipers and assorted Irish Step-Dancers. NYPD Emerald Society Members pay $10 with their Membership Cards. Non-members are invited to pay $20. Children are admitted FREE! Up to 3 children per family. Beer, wine, soda, sandwiches and salads will be provided at no additional cost.

The bus will meet any and all uniformed marchers at St. Peters church Sunday at 11:15. There will be a mass in session at that time, so I will have the driver meet us down below in the rear of the church on the corner of St. Peters Place and Carroll Place, which is situated on the Richmond Terrace side. It will depart at 11:30 and transport all members to the starting point of the parade route located at Hart Blvd and Forest Ave. The bus will then meet us at the end of the route and transport everyone back to St. Peters church for the afternoon festivities. Hopefully, we have a proud membership turn out. The weather prediction for Sunday is sunshine and 50. White gloves dress uniform.   More information
