September General Meeting New Location
September 13, 2010

ST. JAMES CHURCH 23 OLIVER STREET. NYPD Emerald Society President Richard Wall has selected a new site for our next General Meeting, the historic parish of St. James. This new location at 23 Oliver Street in downtown Manhattan is within the shadows of One Police Plaza between Madison Street & St. James Place. In 1836 the Ancient Order of Hibernians was founded after a secret meeting was held at the church. Their goal was to protect the Irish community and Catholic institutions across America from often violent discrimination. Now the NYPD Emerald Society membership will make its own history by gathering in this prominent venue of Irish-American legend. Doors open at 6:30 for the 7 PM meeting.
