4th ANNUAL SUMMER GETAWAY, JULY 9-14, 2008: Once again the NYPD Emerald Society recreates the memorable times of the "old Police Camp." Enjoy the beauty of New York State's renowned Catskill Mountains with your family and friends. Our vacation oasis this year is the famous Friar Tuck Resort located just two and a half hours from NYC. Here you can park your car, relax and enjoy your summer time holiday with the Emeralds. The resort has a well deserved reputation for its delicious dining and hospitality. The Friar Tuck's many amenities are sure to keep everyone busy. There are two outside pools where you can enjoy our outstanding music shows. The DJ music will start Wednesday evening in the lounge. Our poolside shows begin Friday afternoon as we enjoy old-time BBQ lunches. Once again, as we have offered in all our recent trips "children under 15 years of age are FREE!" Up to 3 children in a room stay for free with an adult. The kids that are a little older, 15-18 years are just $35. per night. Our rates include "all taxes & service charges". Nearby the resort, you will find discounted golf and horseback riding. Choose-up softball games and other outdoor games will keep both young & not-so young guest running all day long. Inside there's a fitness center, a Jacuzzi and a pool. The resort also features an OTB Gambling Center. At night we all continue enjoying the Emerald Society hospitality with good cheer and more great music. So please join the NYPD Emeralds as the best things about summer abound us this July!
